From Dream to Reality: How the Klamath SBDC Helped Bentley Physical Therapy Thrive
Klamath Basin natives Thomas and Rachel Bentley always dreamed of bringing accessible physical therapy to their community in Merrill. After 20 years of experience as a physical therapist, Thomas was ready to take the leap and open his own practice, Bentley Physical Therapy. Unsure of where to start, the Bentleys turned to the KCC SBDC for guidance.
“Having worked with the SBDC before, we knew their expertise would be invaluable,” Rachel shared. With their adviser’s help, they mapped out the steps to launch their practice, explored funding options, and successfully secured a Klamath County Economic Development Grant—a crucial piece of their startup journey.
Bentley Physical Therapy opened in June 2024, and within weeks, it became a full-time practice.
The collaboration with SBDC not only helped the Bentleys navigate the complexities of launching a business but also allowed them to make a lasting impact on their community.
