SMALL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM- LEVEL I & II
Are you an existing small business owner looking to improve your business management skills? The Clatsop SBDC’s Small Business Management program is designed to help owners improve their business savvy, gain control of their business’s future and be ready to take it to the next level. Participants will learn from experts and other local business leaders on critical business management topics including leadership, planning, budgeting, financial management, marketing, employee hiring and management, operations & more! You will also be paired with your own business coach who will meet with you regularly to help identify, prioritize, and achieve your business-specific goals.
In SBM, your business is the textbook, and what you learn in the classroom is designed to directly be applied to your business. This unique combination of classroom learning, one-on-one business coaching, and peer-peer networking is all designed with one goal: making you and your business even more successful.
***Level 1: For business owners who are in the early stages of their small business management journey (typically less than 3 years with 1 or fewer employees) or who have never taken the Small Business Management Program. Begins November 1st and meets every other Wednesday from 3:00–5:00 pm. at the Astoria Lexington Campus through April 24th. Business advising appointments are tailored to your schedule.
***Level 2: For experienced business owners (typically those with more than 3 years of business experience and 2 or more full-time employees) or those who have already taken the Small Business Management program. Program begins January 10th and meets for 11 sessions from 2:30-5pm, ending May 29th, 2024. Business advising appointments are tailored to your schedule.
Program Cost: $900 | Your business could qualify for up to $700 in scholarships—ask us for details. No fees will be charged until your application is accepted!

RESTAURANT SMALL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
Are you a restaurant owner or manager who is ready to step up their game and improve your business management skills? The Clatsop SBDC’s Small Business Management program for restauranteurs is new for the 2023-2024, in partnership with Oregon Coast Community College and Rogue Community College. The program has been engineered from the ground up to deliver relevant, robust educational content across nine powerful workshops, plus monthly one-on-one advising sessions- all geared to make your operation as successful as possible, and to make your work more enjoyable and rewarding.
The program will include expert speakers from the food and beverage world, as well as business experts and will covering critical topics on successful restaurant ownership and management. Adding to that, you will be part of a strong cohort of Oregon restaurateurs, allowing for peer sharing and learning while working directly on your business development.

The class meets the 2nd Monday of every month starting October 9th from 9am-12pm via Zoom through June 10th | Business Advising Appointments Tailored to Your Schedule.
