Estella is invaluable to have in my corner. Her way of processing information gives her a unique ability to address tough situations in clear and concise ways.

Why do you do what you do?

I love being able to help people reach their dreams and give them the tools and encouragement needed to be successful. Being an owner is difficult, but with the right people in your corner, great achievements are possible. As a bilingual former small business owner, as well as a corporate HR professional, my well-rounded knowledge brings important perspectives to the community we serve, allowing for their further success.

Bio:

Estella Woodley has been in human resources for 20 years. During that time, she owned her own business before working in the manufacturing and healthcare sectors. Estella has held various volunteer positions in her community, including Rotary, Klamath Home Builders Association, Society for Human Resource Management, and Klamath County Chamber of Commerce.

How do your colleagues describe you?

Wendi has a positive spirit and is a cheerleader for those around her.

Why do you do what you do?

I love to help, encourage and celebrate the successes of my fellow community members. As a child from a small business family I saw the struggles that a small rural agricultural business had while starting up. I am happy to be working with SBDC to make sure others don’t have as many road blocks to their success. I want to help make a difference in our community.

Bio:

Wendi is originally from Idaho, but has been an Oregonian since 1991. Having graduated with a BA in Ethnic Studies from Boise State University, her background includes a career in hospitality as well as a career in the non-profit sector helping low income individuals access needed programs. Wendi assists with day-to-day operations of the Center, providing administrative support to SBDC director, staff and instructors. She also takes care of the behind the scenes work to keep our workshops and Center running smoothly. Wendi also enjoys reading, baking, gardening, spending time with family, and walking her two German Shepherds.

Bio:

Courtney is an accountant with 15+ years of knowledge and experience in all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping including budgeting, financial statements review, process and procedure analysis, and staff training. She owned her own accounting and bookkeeping services business for several years and has experience providing customized accounting and bookkeeping trainings for larger groups.

After receiving her master’s degree in Sustainability Solutions from Arizona State University, she has been passionate about succession planning and how to best assist small business owners to exit their businesses in a way that will allow the business to continue to thrive in the communities it serves.
