Why do you do what you do?

We have an amazing team, fantastic resources and a lot of value we bring to small businesses and to the communities we are committed to serve. I enjoy using my years of experience in business development and working with businesses of all types to help our clients bring their dreams to reality.

Bio:

Greg has 20 years of business development experience. He has founded and operated successful for-profit and non-profit companies in the renewable energy industry where he developed a first-of-its-kind energy forecasting and reporting program. He has also worked in sales, marketing, policy, and has spent many years in consulting. He earned his MBA from Portland State University where he was also a part-time professor at the Graduate School of Business. He created and led the study abroad program focused on entrepreneurship, economics and sustainable development.

Greg holds certifications from/in American Management Association, US Dept of Commerce: Export Strategies, Advanced Leadership and Community Development among others.

Bio:

Lori Templeman brings a dynamic blend of administrative expertise and entrepreneurial experience to her role at the SBDC. With a background in business ownership in the fitness industry, she understands the challenges small business owners face firsthand. Lori is currently an MBA student at Southern Oregon University, with an expected graduation in Spring 2026. Her strengths in organization, communication, and problem-solving make her a valuable resource for clients navigating the complexities of business growth. Whether coordinating programs or providing behind-the-scenes support, Lori is dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs and cultivating a thriving local business community.

Bio:

Kelliane draws on decades of experience as a business owner and instructor of sales, marketing, and operational management to help small businesses start up and grow. She is familiar with the ups and downs that even successful business experience and uses proven strategies to help navigate them. Having first-hand experience with what keeps business owners up at night, Kelliane is passionate about leveraging all of the resources in our ecosystem to support entrepreneurs.

Bio:

Michele’s entrepreneur journey started in 1999 when she completed massage school. She was booked 2 months out, while her classmates struggled. Utilizing her business degree, she opened a small studio in 2002. She initially hired therapists as contractors, then quickly converted them to employees. Why? To provide consistent service. By 2005, with her first location a success, she opened a second location. This was also successful and attracted a franchising company. In 2006 she sold her business concept and consulted with Elements Massage for 10 years. At that time Michele took on a business partner which allowed her to learn how to structure and work in a partnership.

Bio:

Shannon brings over 20 years of experience helping business owners build and manage sustainable, goal-driven financial models and systems. Her entrepreneurial journey began in 2006 at the University of Portland, where she majored in finance and was selected as an Entrepreneur Scholar. Since then, Shannon has explored a wide range of ventures from sailing boats in Hawaii to leading financial operations of public charter schools and to launching her own company. Her passion lies in empowering others to pursue their dreams through financial literacy and strategic business guidance.

Bio:

Shawn Livengood is a digital marketing consultant with over 16 years of experience helping businesses grow through Google Ads, SEO, and website design. He has worked with brands ranging from emerging startups to Fortune 500 companies, delivering performance-driven marketing strategies that drive real results. As the founder of his own consulting practice, Shawn specializes in helping small and medium-sized businesses compete at an enterprise level. He is passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation, and is excited to support small businesses in his community on the Oregon Coast.

Bio:

Tim moved to Lincoln City from its exact opposite in almost every way, Southern Utah. He spent 17 years working in 7 national parks across the Western U.S. managing concession operations at iconic lodges and restaurants. In his younger years, he was a scuba instructor in Honduras and an English teacher in Poland.

Tim has extensive experience successfully managing seasonal operations including food and beverage, lodging, and retail. His small business experience includes restaurant POS systems, computer gaming, and renovation and management of long-term rentals. In his spare time Tim enjoys kayaking and canyoneering, and when inside, board and computer gaming.
