We can help you meet the state requirement of 16 hours of study needed to become eligible to take the test to obtain an Oregon Construction Contractors Board license.

In Oregon, anyone who works for compensation in any construction activity involving improvements to real property needs a license. Examples include:

  • Siding
  • Painting
  • Carpentry
  • Floor covering
  • Concrete
  • Heating
  • Air conditioning

  • Plumbing
  • Tree servicing
  • Repair of attached appliances (ORS 701.005 (5)(a))
  • Manufactured dwelling installation
  • Land development
  • Home inspection
  • Most construction and repair services

State law requires 16 hours of study before registering for the licensing exam. Oregon’s SBDCs are pre-approved license educators by the Oregon Construction Contractors Board.
