Nava Construction

We’re highlighting Nava Construction, Oregon Coast Community College SBDC’s 2021 Business of the Year!
The Toledo-based company’s roots began in 2010, when it started as a landscaping business. After enjoying doing odd jobs like roof repair, remodeling, and fencing for friends, they realized it was an opportunity to pivot and transitioned to construction services in 2017.
Driven by uncertainties related to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nava Construction was one of 40 businesses in OCCC’s 2020–2021 Small Business Management program (SBM) to receive support through the SBDC.
Through guidance from the Small Business Management program, the company was able to secure an SBA forgivable PPP loan and take advantage of the many resources available through the SBDC. Brenda Nava says the program made them aware of programs and topics that could help them reach their business goals.
