Wednesday 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM

- March 27, 2019
Instructor: Alicia Aiken
Location: Chemeketa Small Business Development Center Room 300
Fees: $249

Very practical, hands-on course focused on topics that concern most entrepreneurs - creating proposals and invoicing, creating reports, managing cash flows, creating budget, and managing payroll and inventory.

March 6 - Cash Flow and Budgets

“I made a profit where is the cash?!” This is a question many entrepreneurs ask. Understanding how cash flow works can help you make better decisions. Cash flow is integral to budgeting. Budgeting, forecasting, and projecting provide ways for the entrepreneur to look toward the future and to make goals. This course will help you develop financial techniques to make reasonable and achievable goals and to monitor the progress toward achieving those goals.

March 13 - Estimates and Proposals

Making clear and complete estimates are crucial for the success of entrepreneurs, just as important are pricing, on-time completion, and collection of invoices. This course covers all those topics and more relating to inventory and accounts receivable.

March 20 - Reports

Meaningful reports are absolutely necessary in order to make good business decisions. This course enables managers to design reports which serve their individual needs. Focusing on balance sheets and Profit & Loss statements, participants will also learn about sales reports, payroll reports, and the many reports available regarding customers and vendors.

March 27 - Payroll
The world of payroll is filled with landmines. Poor payroll execution can result in unhappy (and departed) employees, lawsuits, and many discussions with governmental agencies. Learn how QuickBooks Payroll can make those problems disappear.
