In partnership with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB), the Oregon SBDC offers a Construction Contractors Board Prep Course that prepares individuals for testing. This program has helped hundreds of aspiring contractors with their pre-license exam prep and the continuing education needed to receive their contractor’s license and start their business.

Leverage Business Skills Beyond the License Exam
Oregon’s CCB license allows you to do business as a general contractor— but the “business” part often stops there, as many contractors struggle due to a lack of business skills.
By enrolling in the Oregon SBDC Construction Contractors Board training, participants receive the state-required 16 hours of study, plus access to additional resources to support their business’s success.
After completing the CCB training, participants can participate in additional training and no-cost, one-on-one advising. Advising and business training give participants a strong foundation for managing their businesses.
