Why do you do what you do?

As an SBDC adviser and instructor, I enjoy sharing my broad range of organizational knowledge and experience to help local owners and leaders align business, finance, and human resources strategies and goals to ensure readiness for success. I am particularly passionate about supporting owners and managers in being their best as a leader and enabling the best from their workers.


Karen is a business adviser and the HR instructor for Rogue SBDC. She advises on pre-venture, start-up, and business operations, and with construction contractors. She also specializes in human resources and workforce matters, from compliance to strategies for attracting and retaining workers. She holds a doctorate degree in organization and leadership and has completed programs in executive coaching and project and change management.
